Poodles a specialty.  Most breeds catered for.  We do not groom giant breeds  e.g. St. Bernard etc but can recommend another groomer that can help you.
All dogs will be checked on arrival for any visible health issues ,coat condition and temperament.  I comply to the groomers charted, grooming for the good of the dog, de-matting that is painful to the dog will not be carried out. If your dog is badly matted, it will be clipped short for the good of the dog and health of its skin. information and help on grooming your own dog is always given freely.

Bathing/Conditioning/
​Drying

All dogs will get a bath with shampoo that is suitable to your dogs skin type. Should your dog have sensitive skin, please let me know as I can use a suitable shampoo. Dogs as many people do not know, have a different Ph type then we do, therefor human shampoo sometimes irritates their skin.

Clipping / shaving / Styling

Most pet dogs are clipped with electric clippers.  Or as some people say shaved.  There are different lengths for different dogs.  It's not usually all or nothing.  In combination with scissors and thinners the desired shape is obtained. This all depends on the condition of the coat and any matting there may be. 
Sometimes if the matting is very bad a dog will need to be clipped down. Taking all the coat off, but rest assured it grows back and with careful grooming on the owners part you can have the style you desire,but this can only be continued if the owner takes care of their dogs grooming at home on a regular basis.

Nail clipping and filing

Most dog need their nails clipped on a regular basis to stop then from getting ingrown nails.  This can cause a lot of pain and discomfort to your dog.  Nails can grow into the pad of the dogs foot if left unattended.  This is done as part of the grooming process if necessary. It is included in the price.  I also like to file the nails after cutting to take off lose ends and have a nice smoothe finish. Should your dog need a balm applied to pads this will also be done.  Please remember to protect your dogs in the summer with hot ground and winter from frost

Ear cleaning & Anal Glands

All dogs have their ears cleaned as part of the grooming process. Some dogs like poodles and schnauzer grow a lot of hair inside the ear.  This will be removed as long as it is not going to cause an irritation to the dog.  It is necessary to keep the ears clear of hair so the air can get at the ear and this helps avoid build up of wax and possible ear infection.
On occasions, some dog have problems with their anal glands, these can be expressed by your groomer if it is found necessary.

Creative grooming can be carried out at owners request, a test patch must be done before a complete job is done, this is to ensure that the dog does not react to the colour as not all dogs skin agrees with the colour. Saying that the only colour I use is suitable and made for dogs and I have not had a problem to date
